Lingerie, nightwear and swimwear brand Boux Avenue owned by British retail magnate Theo Paphitis have just launched their new flagship store in oxford street causing quite a stir amongst pedestrians passing by the new store which is now the 28th in it’s Uk portfolio and a further eleven stores overseas.
Boux Avenue encapsulates the very best of the AW15 trends with a rich colour palette and understated glamour across their new lingerie and nightwear collections.
The AW15 range of lingerie showcases a diverse mix of winter pastels in blush pinks and peaches, sat against opulent purples, turquoise, and reds; embracing deeper moodier tones. With the vintage theme still central to many of the Boux Avenue collections, you can expect a romantic, whimsical feel with pretty rosebud details, floral prints, delicate lace plus the inclusion of two new non-padded underwired bras.
With a heavy focus on glitz and glamour on the AW catwalks; hints of silvery lurex, diamante detailing and pretty embellishment are reflected in the collection, proving that decadence has a place in your lingerie drawer.
Echoing the gothic lace trend, the collection boasts beautiful black embroidery and mesh overlaid onto deep navy, teal and maroon – for that demure femme fatale styling.
The nightwear range mirrors the trends showcased on lingerie, with a focus on sultry floral prints from hydrangea to midnight rose on dark satin fabrics with lace trims.
The vintage theme continues with dusty pink and lavender slip style chemises, neutral lace inserts and delicate straps. The staple
range of Boux Avenue chemise and robe sets complement the rich colour palette in jade, pewter and purple.
The collection also includes a line of soft cotton novelty shorts and vest sets with playful slogans and cutesy prints, plus a vibrant range of loungewear including oversized sweatshirts, shorts and tracksuit bottoms.
Boux Avenue offers a complimentary bespoke in-store bra fitting service, to ensure the perfect fit and support, plus an extensive size range from 6 – 18 with cup sizes available in 28 – 38, A to G.
British fashion icon launches her first eyewear collection for Specsavers
AS SHE gears up to celebrate 50 years in the business in 2016, British fashion icon Twiggy has collaborated with Specsavers to design an elegant, stylish and glamorous range of glasses.
The Twiggy for Aurora collection, available exclusively at Specsavers, has been designed for women like herself who want to look chic and stylish but love to have fun with fashion.
The range features six sophisticated styles each encrusted with gemstones in different colours with a signature crystal on the tips of the sides.
Twiggy, who also models the collection, says: ‘I’m so excited, I have always wanted to design a range of eyewear and I hope that I can inspire other specs wearers through my new collection.
‘I have been a glasses wearer for more than 20 years, I need them for reading, driving, watching TV, pretty much everything really! I have always had numerous pairs in different shapes and colours as I love to change my glasses depending on what I’m wearing, so it’s extremely exciting to be able to design my own now!’
Twiggy took inspiration for the range from her own wardrobe and attitude to fashion. She says: ‘I love fun and stylish looks and it’s very important to me to be comfortable. Also, being chic and stylish never goes out of fashion.
‘I wanted the collection to allow women to experiment a little, try different shapes and colours and think of their glasses as part of their overall style and look. I think colour on the face is fun. If someone has always worn very plain glasses they should try a style like Aurora Amethyst, which is a gorgeous deep warm red tone that is very flattering.’
Twiggy says it’s hard to have a favourite among her new collection as there’s something for everyone:
‘I absolutely love these gorgeous navy blue tortoiseshell frames. How cool can you get?! They’ve got a very slight cat’s eye shape, sapphire crystals on the sides and, of course, the signature Aurora crystal on the tips.’
‘I love these pretty, delicate silver metal frames decorated with beautiful pale blue crystals. I can wear them day or night as they’re so chic and elegant, and being so light makes them extremely comfortable.’
‘Look at that colour – aren’t they fabulous? The cat’s eye shape is very flattering on the face. They’re so cool and fashion forward, which I love.’
‘There’s a beautiful warm, soft tone to these frames with the pink crystals and mother of pearl on the sides. Perfect for dressing up and down.’
Aurora Rose Quartz:
‘I absolutely adore the colour of these pretty pink frames. They are fine and subtle but brought to life with gorgeous square cut Swarovski stones on the sides, very wearable!’
‘These are real showstoppers! Strong and stylish softened by beautiful crystal detailing on the front. They will add the wow factor to any outfit!’
The Twiggy for Aurora collection is available exclusively from Specsavers. Priced at £125, there are six sophisticated styles to choose from, which are also included in the Specsavers two for one offer.
